Bowling Green’s CGS Machine and Tool is celebrating the milestone of 30 years in business.
The company, which was first established in 1994 in Russellville, is a leader in precision machining and fabrication services.
Small Business To Large Company
Founded by Chappel Allen, Steve Allen, and Greg Allen, CGS Machine and Tool opened its doors with just five employees and $500,000 in sales.
In 2003, the company relocated to Bowling Green and opened a 25,000-square-foot facility at 2750 Griffin Drive.
This move marked the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s history, enabling it to expand its services and reach a broader market.
The growth continued in 2011 with the opening of an additional 25,000-square-foot facility at 2859 Industrial Drive, further enhancing its capacity to serve both large and small-scale manufacturers in Bowling Green and the surrounding areas.
Today, the company has grown into a vital partner for manufacturers across the region and now boasts 50 full-time employees, nearly $10 million in annual sales and serves more than 350 customers across 12 different states.
“Reaching this milestone is a direct reflection of our dedicated team and loyal customers,” said Steve Allen, Owner and Founder of CGS Machine and Tool. “The move to the Bowling Green community was the best business decision we could have ever made. We are always looking forward to what the future holds, but this anniversary has been a great reminder for us of how far we have come as a company in this 30-year span.”
“Outside of an exceptional team, the growth of CGS has been in large part due to the continued expansion and growth of the industrial manufacturing sector right here at home in Bowling Green,” said Kyle Allen, Co-Owner of CGS. “CGS has been proud to service a long list of manufacturers across the region over the years and we look forward to continuing to grow and expand our capabilities in the years to come.”
