Elizabethtown Tourism and the City of Elizabethtown recently announced the initial construction phase is underway for the Elizabethtown Outdoor Music Venue at Buffalo Lake.
This new outdoor venue will feature a wide range of performances, including live concerts, band performances, comedy shows, and more.
Vibrant Community Space
In addition to entertainment, the outdoor venue will serve as a prime location for various community events.
It will host festivals, outdoor markets, local special events, and community celebrations, making it a hub for both Elizabethtown residents and visitors.
The City was able to acquire the private property for the development of the venue in 2024.
Throughout the development and construction process, a priority has been and will continue to be to preserve the natural environment which has been the inspiration for the design.
Initially, over 200 scrub trees will be removed and replaced with 474 new indigenous trees planted to host a tree canopy of over 600 trees throughout the property.
Those involved with project have asked the public to avoid the area near Buffalo Lake from Sutton Lane to the dam as this is now an active construction site.
Construction will continue throughout 2025 with an anticipated opening in 2026.
