KCTCS Names Interim President at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System has named Dr. Brooke L. Justice as Interim President of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC).

Justice, who previously served as Vice President of Student Services at SKYCTC, began her new role August 16.

Nearly 20 Years Experience

Justice replaces Dr. Phil Neal who was appointed as Acting Executive Vice President and Provost for KCTCS in July.

Justice has served in various roles throughout her nearly 20-year career in higher education.

“I’m really humbled to serve as interim president, and I thank Dr. Quarles and his staff for this wonderful opportunity,” said Justice.

Her passion for the community college began at Bowling Green Technical College, which later became SKYCTC.

She has extensive experience in higher education including the areas of strategic enrollment management, academic success and student pathways.

“We’re excited to have Dr. Justice leading SKYCTC,” said KCTCS President Ryan Quarles. “Her background in both academic and student affairs, her experience in enrollment management, and her dedication to the success and the wellbeing of our students will be instrumental in the continued success of SKY and of KCTCS.”

Justice earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University and her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Kentucky.

“Achieving student success is at the core of my professional career. From supporting basic needs to celebrating each accomplishment along the way, I value the importance of the community college in the higher education spectrum,” said Justice. “We have a great responsibility to the students that we serve to provide a quality education and improve their overall quality of life.”
