The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced that President & CEO Ron Bunch has resigned from his position.
Bunch, who served at President & CEO for the past fourteen years, helped strengthen the Chamber through his focus on collaboration, investment, and opportunity.
Billions in Investments
According to a news release, there have been significant successes under Bunch’s tenure, primarily through regional economic development.
Key accomplishments include attracting billions in capital investment, creating thousands of jobs, and earning national recognition as a top-performing economic development organization.
As a direct result of Bunch’s efforts, Bowling Green continues to gain national recognition, ranked the #1 Tier 2 Metro in the United States for both 2024 and 2023 and among the Top 6 Tier 2 Metros for 13 consecutive years, according to Site Selection Magazine.
The Chamber has also earned the prestigious Mac Conway Award, recognizing it as one of the Top 20 Economic Development Organizations in the country for the fourth time in five years.
“Through the years I have been fortunate enough to work alongside Ron Bunch on several projects. In every one, I found him to be a passionate negotiator and advocate for our community,” said Warren County Judge Executive, Doug Gorman, “I am proud of the work he has done and all he has been a part of building here. I wish him well in his next venture.”
The Chamber has begun the process of appointing interim leadership and will share further updates in the coming weeks.
