Robert Cherry Civic Center in Paducah Reopens After Remodel

Four years after closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Robert Cherry Civic Center is officially back open.

The Civic Center closed to the public in 2020. In that time, city leaders worked to redesign the building to provide an improved community gathering area and space for members of the Parks & Recreation Department.

What’s New?

The facility received a complete remodel and features upgrades to the lobby, restrooms, a catering kitchen, and large open meeting space that can seat up to 256 people (with tables & chairs).

The 9,377 square foot facility is designed to be used for banquets, dances, trade shows, family and class reunions, company meetings and more.

The History

The Robert Cherry Civic Center is located at 2701 Park Avenue next to Noble Park.

The building is dedicated to Robert C. Cherry who served three terms as mayor of Paducah: 1952-1955, 1960-1965, and 1968-1971.

How To Rent

Requests for facility reservations for dates beginning April 8, 2024 are now open. The facility is available for rent year round.

Reservation fees range from $500 – $1,500 per day depending on partial day or full day rental.

A 50 percent deposit is due at the time of reservation, as well as a $500 refundable damage deposit.
