Saint Joseph Berea has been recognized as a 2024 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ recipient.
The award comes from Healthgrades, a leading resource consumers use to find a hospital or doctor.
A Top Hospital
This is the second year in a row that the hospital has received the distinction, which places the hospital in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide for patient experience.

To identify the top hospitals for patient experience, Healthgrades applies a scoring methodology to ten patient experiences using data submitted by the hospital’s own patients.

Leading Patient Experience
The data comes from survey questions that focus on patients’ perceptions of their hospital care, which includes topics like cleanliness, noise levels, medication explanations and staff responsiveness.
The measures also include whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family and their overall rating of the hospital.
For this annual analysis, Healthgrades evaluated more than 2,500 hospitals that submitted data from at least 100 patient experience surveys.
