Shelby County is home to two well-known bourbon distilleries, Bulleit Distilling Company and Jeptha Creed Distillery, both of which drive a sizeable amount of visitors.
Now, ShelbyKY Tourism is looking to expand on the county’s bourbon tourism and recently secured a federal trademark for the slogan, “Your Bourbon Destination.”
Local Bourbon Offerings
Bourbon travelers make up a considerable number of visitors to ShelbyKY, which generated more than $91 million in economic impact for local businesses in 2023.
This designation seeks to further solidify ShelbyKY’s position as a destination for bourbon enthusiasts.

Visitors will see the slogan on the website and through new advertising campaigns focused on driving bourbon tourism to the community.
