ConventionSouth, a meetings and events industry trade magazine, has named the Shelbyville Conference Center among its 2024 Readers’ Choice Award winners.
The award, which is voted on by readers, highlights the best of the best among 16 states in the South, as well as Washington, D.C.
Commitment To Service
The Shelbyville Conference Center is among 474 convention and visitor bureaus, meeting facilities, hotels, and unique venues to receive this year’s Readers’ Choice Award.
More than 7,200 voters participated in the selection process.
“ConventionSouth readers and fans have once again voted to decide the best meeting sites in the South, and it is no surprise to us that Shelbyville Conference Center has been selected to receive our annual Readers’ Choice Award,” said ConventionSouth Associate Publisher Tiffany Burtnett. “This prestigious recognition comes from the United States’ top meeting professionals who hold events in the South. These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have determined that Shelbyville Conference Center indeed displays the commitment to professionalism, creativity, and service that they require.”
With more than 16,000-square-feet of space spread over one floor, the center has a capacity of 400 for a banquet or 600 in a theatre-style setting.
“Since opening in 2021, this is the first time the Shelbyville Conference Center has received a ConventionSouth Readers’ Choice Award. It’s an honor to be recognized nationally for the work the ShelbyKY Tourism team puts into managing and running the Conference Center,” said Janette Marson, President & CEO of ShelbyKY Tourism, which operates the Shelbyville Conference Center for the City of Shelbyville. “We are looking ahead to a busy 2025 and 2026 and are even seeing some repeated events scheduled through 2030.”
